Wellington Adventure Riders Take on Two Epic Days of Terrain
Eighteen adventure riders gathered at TSS Motorcycles in Wellington for an action-packed weekend exploring some of the region's best riding terrain.
Saturday's ride headed into a mix of Wellington City Council land, private farm tracks, and rugged backcountry routes. Riders enjoyed a well-earned lunch break at Boomrock Station, taking in spectacular coastal views before tackling more private farmland, regional parks, and winding trails through the Akatarawa Forest. The day wrapped up at Brewtown in Upper Hutt, where riders shared stories and a few well-deserved refreshments as well as raised funds for the local rescue Chopper..
Sunday saw a smaller group depart TSS Motorcycles after several riders headed home. The remaining riders explored the Southern Wairarapa, including Regional Council parkland in the Remutaka Hills and a scenic ride along the rugged southern coastline. After lunch at the iconic Lake Ferry Hotel, the group gained access to a private farm property that led into a challenging 40km off-road section, testing both rider skill and endurance.
The weekend delivered everything adventure riders could ask for—spectacular scenery, diverse terrain, challenging tracks, great company, and two memorable finishes at Brewtown. Another successful Wellington adventure ride is in the books.
